We're going to get through the coronavirus outbreak together. If you are experiencing symptoms or are looking for more information, you can visit the website of the CDC or the Texas Department of Health. We are closely monitoring the situation and its effects on the people of Texas and our nation as we work together to keep our families and communities safe.
John,
This is big, y’all.
In just the first seven days of early voting, 4,706,398 Texans cast their ballots. That’s more than half of the total number of voters who showed up in 2016. Texans are ready for change.
But here’s the thing: the Texas GOP has been working for years to discourage voters and make casting a ballot as difficult as possible. The fact is, Texas Democrats aren’t playing on an even playing field. That’s why we can’t take our foot off the gas until the polls close on Election Day.
Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades y’all - contribute $5, $10, or $50 to help us keep turning out voters and keep our momentum going strong until November 3rd >>>
Take a look at these numbers:
- In 2018, Texas ranked 41st in voter participation at just 46.3%.
- In 2018, Texas Democrats won a dozen state House seats back from Republicans.
- But Beto O’Rourke lost by a razor-thin margin of 2.6%.
We need to keep pushing. If we can keep this momentum going strong, we will have the numbers to finally stop the Texas GOP’s extreme partisan agenda. And we will have the numbers to finally flip the Texas House Blue.
This is history in the making. But the only way we’re going to get the numbers on our side is with your help. This is our year. Texas Democrats are ready to ride. Don’t miss your opportunity to make an impact >>>
