As a United States Senator, I see a lot of folks who are in public service for the wrong reasons. The Senate, once the world’s greatest deliberative body, is so often reduced to partisan grandstanding and gross abuses of power by men like Mitch McConnell.
But, John, when I meet and work alongside people like Lauren Underwood, I have a little more hope about the future of our country.
Lauren’s passion, accountability and drive to do what is right for her community is a welcome change in her district.
