| Dear, During a hearing on runaway drug prices, Katie Porter took out her mighty whiteboard of truth and shamed drug company CEO Mark Alles for handing himself a $500,000 bonus for jacking up the price of a single drug more than 300%.(1) The clip went viral on the internet and created new urgency to crack down on drug prices. Everyone knows how awesome Katie Porter is, but what you might not know is that she represents one of the most competitive districts in America. In fact, Katie was the first Democrat in history to be elected in her Orange County district.(2) We were on the front lines fighting to elect Katie in a red district in 2018, and we’re still here fighting for her and every California Democrat targeted for defeat by the Republicans so that we have the progressive leadership we need to make real change across the state and the country.
