When I first met with Kate to talk about her campaign, I asked her why she was running for Congress. She said, “Because I care.” And it’s true – Kate cares about Nebraska more than anybody I know.

Guess who doesn’t care about Nebraska: Congressman Jeff Fortenberry. Just watch Fred Scheele tell us how he learned that Kate is the ONLY candidate who will listen to Nebraskans:

Congressman Fortenberry’s office told Fred it was against the rules to speak with him, a farmer who lived just outside of the district. Fred called the House Ethics Office and found out that it wasn’t against the rules – but the congressman wasn’t legally required to take Fred's call, so he didn't.

Folks, this might sound radical, but I think Nebraska deserves an advocate who will take our calls even if she isn’t legally required to do so.

We are working around the clock to fire bare-minimum Fortenberry and elect Kate Bolz, a leader who goes above and beyond for Nebraskans. But trust me, winning in a competitive district with a well-funded opponent is not easy.
