I ran for president for the same reason I ran for mayor of South Bend: because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.

I know that’s why Sara Gideon is running for United States Senate too — and why she ran for the state legislature and got involved in public service in the first place.

It’s because Sara Gideon wants to get things done for Maine.

But it’s pretty much impossible to get anything done in Washington right now with Mitch McConnell in charge. He’s blocking progress on all the issues we care so deeply about — health care, voting rights, and reproductive freedom.

That’s why I’m personally reaching out to you to ask you to help Sara Gideon win in Maine and retake this Senate seat. It is so important. So please:
