Homophobic and transphobic attacks are on the rise – and the closer we get to Election Day, the worse the attacks become. Learn about the many anti-LGBTQ attacks our candidates have faced and why it matters, via NBC News.

The NRCC continues to launch transphobic attacks against Gina Ortiz Jones in Texas’s 23rd Congressional District, twisting her support for trans service members.

On Wednesday, U.S. Congressman Chris Pappas faced down a homophobic dog whistle from his opponent during a critical debate. Pappas represents New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District.

After attempts to update outdated and homophobic legislation, California state Senator Scott Weiner faced death threats from QAnon. In his latest op-ed in The New York Times, he explains why he was the perfect target for internet trolls.

LGBTQ candidate for North Carolina commissioner of agriculture, Jenna Wadsworth, also faced a barrage of death threats and attacks from QAnon supporters. Read her response to the attacks and her plans to win this November.

Just after giving birth, Palm Springs City Councilmember Christy Holstege received biphobic and misogynistic Facebook messages questioning the validity of her sexuality. Equality California and Desert Stonewall Democrats joined LGBTQ Victory Fund in responding.
