Statement from ALG President Rick Manning
President Trump clearly showed why he should be re-elected to a second term as he demonstrated a much stronger understanding of the issues and how government works than Joe Biden who has spent his life sitting in a Senate seat and for eight years as Vice President. The most compelling question asked all night was by President Trump to Biden when he asked, ‘So Joe, why haven’t you done it?

President Trump closes the deal on reopening the economy at final debate ([link removed])

By Robert Romano
“We can't close up our nation, or you're not going to have a nation.” That was President Donald Trump in the final presidential debate of 2020, making his closing argument to the American people on reopening the economy and getting life back as close to normal as possible following the Covid pandemic lockdowns. 25 million jobs were lost at the height of the state-led economic shutdowns when labor markets bottomed in April, but with President Trump’s leadership and insistence on safely reopening, 14 million jobs have already been recovered, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That leaves 11 million more jobs to get back, and clearly, President Trump will not be satisfied until every American who wants a job, can find one — promising to return to the 50-year low in unemployment that was seen as recently as February before the virus struck. There is still a long way to go, and the recovery could be
muted by the ongoing lockdowns centered in blue states if they go on much longer. As President Trump warned, “We can't let that happen, Joe, you can't let that happen. We have to open up.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden inherited a recession in 2009 when he and former President Barack Obama were elected in 2008, and if he wins this year, it will happen again.

Fact Check: Trade in goods deficit China lower in 2020 than in 2016 ([link removed])
Oct. 22, 2020 – Fairfax, VA
Joe Biden’s debate claim that the trade deficit with China is higher is false. The U.S. trade in goods deficit with China is $31.7 billion lower than in first eight months of 2020 than it was in the first eight months of 2016, according to U.S. Census Bureau data. Former Vice President Joe Biden is simply lying, just like he did in the first debate.
