I'm taking the stage in a bit for tonight’s Democratic presidential debate in Houston.

I’m ready to fight for the soul of America, discuss the challenges facing our country, and talk about how we’re going to restore the middle class -- the backbone of this nation.

I’m going to give it all I got, but let me say this simply and clearly:

In less than five months folks in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina will start caucusing and voting in the Democratic primary. So we don’t have a lot of time left to hire staff, open offices, and make the crucial investments we need to win this thing.

I’m not taking corporate PAC donations or checks from lobbyists. We don’t have a Super PAC pouring in millions of dollars in dark money on our behalf. I’m counting on ordinary people like you to help do extraordinary things.
