I’m anxious. A new poll out of Minnesota shows Tina Smith’s lead has vanished. With only a few days left, this is now a one-point Senate race.

Look, I have seen some of the best campaigns lose narrow leads at the last minute — and I’ve seen it enough times to know you can’t count your chickens before they hatch.

Donald Trump’s campaign and GOP dark money groups have already spent millions of dollars to flip Minnesota red, and they could drop another massive check at any moment. That means we need to be ready for whatever “October surprise” they may have planned for us between now and Election Day.
