How to end voter suppression in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and

Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight reports "The 2020 election could usher in a number of new Democratic trifectas on the state level."

Winning back control of state legislative chambers is the single best way we can fight back against Republican voter suppression and gerrymandering.

Please donate what you can today to progressive candidates in targeted state legislative races who could flip state legislatures blue in 2020 and stop Republican attacks on our democracy.

FiveThirtyEight continues on why states legislatures are so important:

"Single-party control of the governor’s office, state Senate and state House can enable that party to pass its agenda unencumbered, as Democrats showed after the 2018 midterms.

Democrats used the six state-government trifectas they gained that year to pass major liberal legislation like funding full-day kindergarten in Colorado, raising the minimum wage in Illinois and setting ambitious renewable-energy goals in New Mexico."

In addition, when Republicans gained control of many state legislatures in 2010, they gerrymandered district boundaries to make it nearly impossible for Democrats to win control in many states -- even though in many states Republicans get far fewer votes than Democrats. Then they introduced voter ID laws and other voter suppression tactics to further cement minority rule.

But that may be about to change. FiveThirtyEight reports "Now, in 2020, the balance of power in state governments could finally flip."

Please donate to help progressive candidates who can flip state legislatures from red to blue Get Out The Vote over the next 12 days.

Thanks for being a bold progressive,
