Dear John,

We have been living with the coronavirus pandemic for over seven months now.

Here in Georgia, the infection rate is lower than it was during the summer peak, but is on a rising trajectory. Even as we attempt to settle into a new normal, so much still feels unsure.

This pandemic has demonstrated why we need steady, trustworthy, responsible leaders advocating for our communities in Washington.

John, imagine if the Trump administration had warned the nation in February. Imagine if Congressional Republicans had approved a second relief package. Imagine if our public health information did not differ on the basis of political party. Imagine if our own elected officials modeled appropriate, evidence-based recommendations to keep our communities healthy.

Let me be clear: Your vote in the 2020 election is your comment on how the coronavirus has been handled. We cannot undo the past, but in this election you decide our future.

I am running for reelection to be the level-headed, experienced leader you deserve, and we must not stop there. My team is running a major get-out-the-vote operation in rural and minority communities to ensure that every single voice is heard ahead of the most consequential election of our lifetimes.

Millions of Georgians are already voting, so we need to make our impact before all the ballots have been cast. John, will you chip in $25, $50, $100, or any amount to take your protest to the polls?
