Hello Team Maloney,

$750. Seven hundred and fifty dollars. That's all that President Trump paid in federal income taxes in 2016 and 2017. And he only paid federal income taxes 5 out of the 15 years prior. Now we find out, thanks to the NY Times, that he paid $187,881 more in taxes to the government of China in the 3 years before that.

I have been leading the charge in Congress to obtain President Trump's taxes so that we can know, once and for all, what conflicts of interest he has been carrying with him over the last 4 years. But just this week, his lawyers were back in court arguing against our House subpoena -- an attempt to further delay the truth from coming out.



There is something severely wrong with the fact that our nation's president has been cheating our system and taxpayers while funneling government money into his private companies.

Meanwhile, so many Americans have been struggling to make ends meet long before this pandemic hit. And Trump still has the audacity to withhold coronavirus relief and other important funding that would ease some of the financial stress that hard-working people are facing.

Don't forget that earlier this year, Trump proposed a budget that would cut billions from Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, while reducing trillions from other programs that benefit the needy like nutrition assistance, housing assistance, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program over the next decade.

Student loans, mortgage and rent payments, and healthcare are just some expenses that keep Americans up at night — costs that billionaires like Donald Trump simply don't have to worry about.

I’m furious and exhausted. I’m sure you are, too. Our president continues to deceive the American people and abuse our government at every turn for his own personal gain.

We need to take this anger and turn it into action at the ballot box this year. If we're going to stand a chance at rooting out corruption in the White House and giving working families a chance at survival, we've got to stand up and use our voices through our votes.

It's time for change, and we have the power to make it happen on November 3. Together, we can do better.
