I just finished a wonderful event on Zoom with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and dozens of our supporters. It’s incredible to feel the momentum we are building each day, and I am so honored to have been joined by the Speaker, a role model with whom I hope to serve next year.
During the event, we discussed the energy we need right now to win NY-01. Because this won’t be easy.
If you have a mailbox, watch the local networks, or spend time scrolling on Facebook, then you may have seen quite a few far-right Republican attacks against me calling me a "radical" for believing in science. But like I told Long Island News 12, there is nothing radical about using facts and evidence to find solutions, and voters know that.
Since I wrote this morning sharing the news about our New York Times endorsement, we've raised $6,800 online alone, but to go toe-to-toe with the next slew of Republican attacks, we still need to bolster our budget. As I mentioned, resources are tight right now, and we have less than two weeks left. So today, I talked to Jacob about what we need to raise to ensure that voters here know the truth about me and the policies I'll fight for.
Polling shows we're one point down, and we cannot leave room for error at this point in the race. We're so close to defeating Lee Zeldin, and we couldn't have made it to this point without you -- but I need you again.
We’ve increased our ad buy in the New York Media Market and we’re about to send out a new mailer to tens of thousands of Suffolk County families that will correct Zeldin’s lies about both his record and about me. To replenish our budget after this spend, we need to raise $48,000 more before Sunday night. Can I count on you to give $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can now to ensure we flip NY-01 red to blue?
