While I’ve been reaching out about a number of critical red-to-blue U.S. Senate races this election season, the reality is we not only have to flip four seats to take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell and the GOP — we also need to re-elect incumbent Democrats, like me and Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey.

Ed and I were both elected to the Senate in 2013 and have been dear friends ever since. He’s one of the most respected voices for progressive change in Washington, and we share a vision for a future centered around justice. Ed is a champion for racial justice, environmental justice, and economic justice, and we need to keep him in the fight.

Since he started his career of public service in 1976 as a member of Congress, Ed has been an absolute champion for the people. Recently, he co-authored the Green New Deal and was the original Senate co-sponsor of my Next Step Act. He also joined me, Kamala Harris, and Tina Smith as an original co-sponsor of legislation to make Juneteenth a federal holiday.

Ed has done so much for the progressive movement, but we’ve got more work to do together in the Senate — and right now, both of us are going up against Trump Republicans in the general election.

Just like me, Ed doesn't take a dime from corporate PAC money or fossil fuel executives.
