CF Foundation Commits up to $14M to Expand Agreement with Synspira Therapeutics

This week, the Foundation announced it’s expanding its research collaboration with Synspira Therapeutics ([link removed]), committing up to $14 million in additional funding to develop a pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy and a new treatment to help fight drug-resistant infections. If successful, the enzyme therapy could offer a more effective alternative to people with cystic fibrosis who struggle with digestion. In addition to fighting infections, the novel treatment could also reduce inflammation in the lungs and thin mucus.
