This morning heroic women with RefuseFascism blocked the entrances of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in D.C. to STOP the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett & demand Trump/PENCE OUT NOW.

There are countless reasons to pour into the streets to stop the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett: her hostility to abortion & reproductive rights, her hostility to LGBTQ rights, hostility to voter rights and much more, but the most immediate and urgent reason her confirmation must be stopped is that her confirmation is part of Trump’s plan to steal this election.

Donald Trump told the world that he wants to put Amy Coney Barrett on the court before the election, in record time and against the rules, so that the Supreme Court will throw the election in his favor. Everyday he refuses to promise a peaceful of transfer of power; he is calling for an “army” of voter intimidation at the polls in “Democrat run cities” and calling mail-in ballots fraudulent against all evidence. Amy Coney Barrett during the confirmation hearings refused to endorse a peaceful transfer of power and gave us every reason to believe she would be an instrument of Trump’s election theft.

We must vote. But voting will not be enough to stop Trump. We must take to the streets and stay in the streets, growing in numbers, until we overwhelm the regime's attempts to hold onto power through our massive nonviolent demand: TRUMP/PENCE OUT NOW!

Through our bold creative actions, we can inspire and wake up the millions who deeply detest everything that Trump stands for. We can change the political situation, holding fast to principles of non-violence, yet determined to prevail. Our numbers, our diversity, and our heart for humanity can sustain us through whatever the Trump/Pence regime tries to do to remain in power. As we grow, we will inspire millions more to join this great struggle, until those in power, to stem the rising tide of protest, are compelled to concede to our single demand that the regime must go.
