Remember --- only way to make sure your vote doesn’t count is if you don’t vote. We want to hear your voting story!

Dear John,
Last night we heard evidence of what security experts like Verified Voting have been saying for years -- that foreign interference is a real threat to our elections ([link removed]) . This is why it continues to be important to have systems in place to respond to any election meddling and recover from problems that might arise.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made - and to learn more about that progress, check out this video ([link removed]) that we partnered on with the New York Times. But with less than two weeks before the election, the most important message for all voters to remember is this: the only way to make sure your vote doesn’t count is if you don’t vote.
At Verified Voting, we’ve made our plans to vote, and here are some of our voting stories so far:
Aurora (voted in-person in Georgia):
“We researched where lines were shorter (we had options of where to vote early) and wore our masks. This was my husband's first time voting early! We went to State Farm Arena in Atlanta which had hundreds of voting machines. Everything was very well done - parking was free, no lines, everything was clean and people were excited to vote. Since I was voting on a machine, I made sure to check my ballot before casting it.”
Chrissa, voted by mail in Pennsylvania:
“I had a positive experience with voting by mail in the primary and found it very convenient, so I decided to do the same for the general election. Given all of the craziness this year, it seemed wise to vote ‘early’ (to the extent that my state allows you to do so) and avoid in-person voting. We used a dropbox to submit our ballot. It was located outside a satellite election office and was secured by county elections workers.”
What’s your voting story? If you’ve made your voting plan, what influenced your decision on when and how to vote? Was voting equipment a factor? Did you encounter any obstacles during the process (and if so, did you report them to the Election Protection Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE)? Take a minute to share your story with us by posting it on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram and tagging @VerifiedVoting.
With thanks,
The Verified Voting Team
P.S. The story of this election is still being written, and we need you to help us ensure that every vote cast is counted as intended. Please consider a gift today ([link removed]) to support our election protection efforts, audit preparations, and everything else we’re doing to validate 2020 - while there is still time.
