My ex-wife, Susan Wild, and I, in our 23 years of marriage, never did quite see eye-to-eye on politics. She was the pragmatic slightly-left-of-center one. I was the more quixotic liberal of the family.

So when I now see Susan’s Republican opponent Lisa Scheller’s ads labeling Susan an “extreme leftist socialist,” I laugh. So do our kids.

I believe that Susan’s opponent is running scared, and so is on the attack. Those ads have not only tried to make my former wife look like a “radical,” but they have also tried to paint her as unreasonable and a “Pelosi puppet.”

Susan needs your support to fight back against these nasty attack ads. Will you contribute to her campaign before midnight?

For the record, Representative Susan Wild, who I’ve known for 45 years, has more integrity than Ms. Scheller, the draft-dodging, tax-evading Donald Trump, and every member of his swampy administration put together.
