Dear John:

The Friday Fax was not my idea when we started it 20 years ago. In fact, I argued against it. I thought it would be too much work and would distract us from our essential work of talking to diplomats.

It turns out to have been the most important thing we at C-Fam have ever done.

The Friday Fax is a weekly report on true things going on at UN headquarters and places where international social and legal policy are made. We cover the UN as reporters and tell the story straight. And this has made all the difference.

  • The Friday Fax is the only weekly source of pro-life and pro-family news coming out of UN headquarters.
  • The Friday Fax has broken hundreds of stories about what really happens at UN headquarters.
  • The Friday Fax has created a global community of people who follow UN pro-family news closely.
  • The Friday Fax has readers all over the globe, from the shining towers of New York to the chalets of Lichtenstein to soldiers’ tents in dangerous places to poor homes in Africa.

The Friday Fax has made friends but has also made enemies. We have been threatened by powerful actors including Planned Parenthood and the anti-Christian Human Rights Campaign, that has been designated a hate group by the American Family Association. We have been attacked on the homepage of the UN Population Fund. Groups like Catholics for Choice and various George Soros groups have written reports on us.

The Friday Fax has been more successful than we had ever dreamed.

But, the Friday Fax is a huge drain on our resources. I have estimated that it costs us upwards of $200,000 a year to produce it. This includes rent for offices in New York and Washington DC. It includes printing and postage for our snail-mail edition. It includes more than $2,000 per month for emailing alone (sending out 25 million emails a year is NOT free).

And so, I have to come to you, the Friday Fax reader on a regular basis for help.

Our situation is always dire. Because of the strong positions we take, we do not receive money from deep-pocketed individuals. Neither do we receive money from big foundations. We rely almost exclusively from people like you.

I implore you to help us right now to defray the cost of this month’s Friday Fax; $16,000. There are many ways to give, just click on www.c-fam.org/donate and follow the instructions. You can give using our totally secure server, but also by snail-mail: C-Fam, P.O. Box 4489, New York, NY 10163-4489.

Act now. Act fast. We need you.

Pray for us. And give. Right now.

Yours sincerely,

Austin Ruse

PS We also need new subscribers to the Friday Fax. Please share with your friends and family and recommend they subscribe to the Friday Fax.
