Friend,

This morning, the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the full Senate for a final floor vote as soon as Monday.

The separation of church and state is the linchpin of religious freedom and one of the hallmarks of American democracy. If confirmed to the Supreme Court, Barrett would put that principle at enormous risk.

This could be your last chance to be heard – please click here to send a message to your Senators urging them to vote NO on Barrett’s confirmation: [link removed]

Barrett’s dangerous views on core church-state separation issues will have serious consequences. Despite the rapidly growing COVID-19 public health threat across the country, Barrett agreed to allow religious gatherings to continue in Illinois, even as secular gatherings were curtailed.

When it comes to reproductive freedom, Barrett thinks your boss’ religious beliefs can determine whether your insurance pays for your birth control or not.

In our public schools, Barrett supports forcing students to pray.

The nomination of Amy Coney Barrett is a threat to religious freedom.

Before it’s too late, please click here to tell your Senators to vote NO – put your voice on the record at this crucial moment: [link removed]

Thanks for your enduring support,

Maggie Garrett
