What do we need to do to be prepared?
Get connected. We want you plugged into your neighborhood. Connect with other DSA members in your neighborhood, and identify and build relationships with other existing groups. Many local pods sprang up during the uprising this last summer - it is paramount to build off them where they exist. Sign up here to get connected with your Regional Captains.
Get trained. We are encouraging every member before a possible mobilization to learn about deescalation, information security, and marshaling, all critical skills to have in this moment. We have two training sessions coming up, Saturday 10/24 at 3 and Wednesday 10/28 at 7.
Take action. Save the date for an action 11/1 at 1pm (tentative -- more info to come at Sunday's check-in).
We do not know what is going to happen after the election, but we need our structures in place to have a powerful response and to keep each other safe.
