Earlier today, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved Amy Coney Barrett's nomination to the Supreme Court! Now the full Senate will vote on her confirmation in just a few short days, on October 26!
During her confirmation hearing last week, Judge Barrett handled herself with aplomb, further cementing that she is highly qualified to serve on the Supreme Court. She not only showed herself to be a dedicated originalist but also displayed poise and confidence as she consistently batted away inappropriate questions from Senate Democrats throughout the hearing.
All the while, the press has continued its attempts to smear the faith of this honorable woman.
Democrats know that the debate over Justice Ginsburg's vacant seat has incredibly important implications for the 2020 election.
They know that whoever fills it will impact any litigation sure to arise after the election.
They know that a Justice Barrett will impact countless important cases that are sure to come before the Supreme Court in coming years, perhaps even a challenge to Roe v. Wade. In addition, religious liberty is increasingly under attack, and we need a strong defender of the First Amendment like Judge Barrett on the Supreme Court.
For all these reasons, Senate Democrats and their media allies have continued their attempts to derail this process. Yet Senate Republicans and President Trump are determined to confirm Amy Coney Barrett.
