With Congress came back in session from its August recess and I’m ready to hit
the ground running by continuing to fight for Arizona’s 1st district.
What’s on the top of my to-do list? Permanently banning dangerous and toxic
uranium mining in the Grand Canyon. With our government just getting back, this
is our best chance to get the support we need to finally push this across the
finish line.
LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD: Can I count on you to sign my petition to permanently
ban uranium mining in the Grand Canyon? You’ll be adding your name with
thousands of others who believe this dangerous practice must never see the
light of day. <[link removed]>

Activists, constituents, environmentalists and members of the Navajo Nation
have all come together to stand against the pollution of our land, water and
communities.
If we don’t permanently ban mining operations, we’re not only risking the
destruction of one of our most important landmarks, we’re risking the lives of
generations of people.
And that’s a risk I’m not willing to take.
Sign my petition calling on Congress to ban uranium mining at the Grand Canyon
for good. We’re closer than ever to getting this done. Let’s use our voices to
push us past the finish line.
