TEXAS HEADLINE: REPUBLICAN SEN. JOHN CORNYN VOTES TO ADVANCE TRUMP'S SUPREME COURT NOMINEE TO THE FULL SENATE.

Minutes ago, Texas Senator John Cornyn voted to advance Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett to the full Senate even though she threatened the Affordable Care Act and refused to say whether she considers Medicare constitutional.

Cornyn’s in a vulnerable spot. His challenger, Democrat MJ Hegar, is polling within single digits of him -- and early voter turnout in Texas is already breaking records.

Trump and the GOP can’t win without Texas. And, this year, progressives have a real chance of defeating Cornyn, winning the state, and flipping red congressional districts blue -- but only if we keep the momentum going through November 3.

Early voting has already started in Texas and we’re running out of time to reach every voter. RUSH $5, or whatever you can afford, to Get Out The Vote in Texas, defeat Cornyn, and turn the state BLUE.

The Texas Tribune reports: “The fate of the presidential race in Texas could be tied to dozens of legislative and congressional races in the state's suburbs."

We’re focused on U.S. House races where our money will go far and elect bold progressives. House candidates Candace Valenzuela (TX-24), Mike Siegel (TX-10), and Julie Oliver (TX-25) are running in winnable races and can narrowly focus their efforts to reach every last Democratic voter. Valenzuela’s district, in particular, is one of the most flippable red-to-blue districts in the country. Our goal is to fill the House with leaders who will protect the Affordable Care Act, push for a Green New Deal, and advance a progressive agenda.
Investing in House campaigns leads to Democratic victories up and down the ballot. The voters our House candidates turn out are extremely likely to also vote for Joe Biden and MJ Hegar. More fired-up Texas voters will help DEFEAT Cornyn and flip the Senate.
When voter turnout is high, Democrats win. Trump can’t win in 2020 without Texas, and if we invest now, we can build progressive power in the state that will have an impact for the next decade.
