Trump took to Fox & Friends on Tuesday morning to continue his string of attacks against Dr. Anthony Fauci, this time falsely claiming he’s a “Democrat” and blaming him for mistakes made during the COVID-19 crisis.
Dr. Fauci is not affiliated with any political party or candidate. He is simply a scientist who is trying to protect the American people in the midst of the global pandemic -- one that the current administration is determined to minimize at every turn.
Trump’s insistence on downplaying the virus is downright dangerous. Not only is Trump putting lives at risk during a pandemic that’s already killed 220,000 Americans, he’s also distracting our nation’s experts from actually addressing said crisis.
