Should the presidential race end up tied next month, Congress will have to select the next president — meaning each state delegation of House members will decide who won the election.

As it stands, Republicans hold the majority of Congressional seats in 26 states, Democrats hold the majority in 22 states. Two states, Michigan and Pennsylvania, are tied.

My friend and Democratic House candidate Eugene DePasquale of Pennsylvania really needs our help right now — and this race has critical implications for Joe Biden winning the White House next month because if we win this seat, we can flip Pennsylvania’s House delegation, too.

Republican groups have spent outrageous amounts of money on negative attacks against Eugene in the race for Pennsylvania’s 10th congressional district, which is now rated as a toss-up by the Cook Political Report, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Inside Elections.

Eugene is a working-class family man who has overcome so much.

His father was shot during the Vietnam War and struggled with addiction to pain killers to cope with his injuries while his mom worked at a restaurant to provide for the family and Eugene pitched-in at home to help his brothers — one of whom battled a debilitating condition that ultimately took his life.
