Starting next week, our physical bookstore will be open Tuesday-Friday from 12p.m.-6p.m. and on Saturday from 11a.m.-7p.m. This week we are open Friday from 2 p.m.- 7p.m. and Saturday from 11a.m.-7p.m. Come join us, bring a mask and be safe!

Colors from Palestine 2021 Calendar

The 2021 Colors from Palestine calendar is a tribute to the late Palestinian novelist and artist Ghassan Kanafani. He was the voice of Palestine; his words spoke of resistance, dispossession and exile. Resistance featured prominently in almost everything he wrote.

Kanafani was a man of great originality and many talents. He wrote short stories, novels and plays as well as journalistic articles and analytic studies and was also a talented painter. Kanafani was assassinated, along with his niece, in Beirut on July 8, 1972 by Israel with an explosive device placed under his car. Kanafani was buried in Beirut.

We've partnered with Keffiyeh Masks and are now selling their masks in our store!

The keffiyehs used for these masks come from the Herbawi Textile Factory in Hebron, which is the only remaining keffiyeh factory in Palestine. These keffiyehs are 100% made of soft, breathable cotton that transmits moisture away from the body. The traditional keffiyeh is black and white, and these keffiyehs have been contemporized using multiple colors to celebrate this iconic Palestinian pattern.
