Dear John,

The 2019 federal election campaign is officially underway.

It comes at a crucial time. We face enormous human rights challenges, in Canada and worldwide. Hateful rhetoric and divisive politics are on the rise. Yet many human rights issues risk being left off the table this election.

With your help, we can make human rights an election issue.

We've released our Top 10 Election Asks on pressing human rights issues and we're calling on all federal parties to support these calls for action.

You can take action now on our first election ask: that all federal parties uphold the rights of Indigenous peoples by committing to fully implementing the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Ask your local candidates to support Indigenous rights.

Tomorrow is the 12th anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Help mark this important day by telling your local candidates that Indigenous rights is an election issue for you.

Ready to do more? Sign up now to join us throughout the election period and add your voice to our Top 10 Election Asks

Thank you for being a voice for dignity and justice this election.
Together we will bring human rights into the conversation.

Sincerely,

Alex Neve
