The Children in Care service work with partner agencies such as health and schools to meet the needs of children who are in care. The aim of the service is to achieve the best possible outcomes for these children and young people and to prepare them for the future.
The Business Support Team have a vital role in supporting the delivery of this service. Duties include; being the first point of contact for day to day enquiries from children and young people in care, parents, carers and partner agencies such as schools and health, carers. Business Support provide quality customer services when responding to enquiries and taking the appropriate steps if risks or safeguarding issues are raised. Following NCC financial regulations to process requests for allowances, process orders and requests for social workers and managers. Proving general day to day administrative support for a large busy team of social workers and service managers. We are looking for a part-time business support officer to join the team and support the delivery of this vital service.
*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*
Experience of planning and organising own workload and be able to work flexibly in a pressured environment.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels utilising a variety of methods including telephone, email and face to face.
Demonstrates a commitment to a quality, customer focused service.
Maintain and assist with the development of information systems and related procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Work in partnership with others to support the service

The Casual Business Support Team are looking for flexible adaptable people to join our pool of casual staff. We can offer full or part-time work in a range of:
* Customer Services
* Clerical
* Administrative
* Data roles across the Council
Previous experience is preferrable, although this would depend on the skills of the candidate.
Assignments can range from short term (a couple of weeks) to up to six months for both full and part-time work with regular hours, available. Rates of pay will vary depending on the assignment type but start from 10.57 up to 12.89 per hour.
