Hey friend,

I wanted to reach out and say hi! I’m just getting settled here in Newark (you may have heard the big news that I moved in with Cory) and asked the campaign if I could send you a note.

For most of this pandemic, we’ve had to quarantine separately. It certainly hasn’t been easy. As amazing as our twice-daily FaceTime calls were, they could never make up for being together in-person. I know so many people have gone through similar challenges — and far worse — these past several months, and I couldn’t be more grateful that we’re now both here together in New Jersey in this wonderful community that Cory has called home for the past 20 years.

I’ve watched him work so, so hard during this pandemic — fighting to get working families relief, leading the effort to reform policing and take on systemic racism, standing up for essential workers, and much more. Seeing Cory’s leadership during this past year has filled me with joy and hope for our country’s future knowing that we have kind, warmhearted people like him in our government.

I know these are such difficult times for our country and the world, but that means we need Cory more than ever fighting for what’s right in the Senate. I’m always impressed with how he exudes such grace and civility. We desperately need his light during this dark moment in our history. His love lifts us all up.

Some of my favorite moments with Cory were on the campaign trail as he ran for president last year. I had the pleasure of meeting so many of his supporters. I know how special you are to him and it means the world to Cory that you’re on this team.
