Tell Congress: End the War on Marijuana
Drug Policy Alliance
You deserve MORE

Friend,

The success of the most comprehensive marijuana reform bill ever introduced in the United States Congress is at stake.

Introduced in July by Representative Jerry Nadler and Senator Kamala Harris, the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act seeks to remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act, decriminalize it at the federal level, and enable states to set their own policies on the legislation of adult use. The bill would expunge prior marijuana convictions and use tax revenue from marijuana sales to fund programs like reentry guidance, employment counseling, and substance use disorder treatment for people with prior convictions.

The MORE Act is crucial to advancing marijuana justice for all. It’s a powerful step toward righting the wrongs of prohibition, which has disproportionately impacted people of color and low-income communities.

Friend, it is on behalf of those who are irreparably harmed by an unrelenting drug war that I ask for your help today. Please call on your Senators and Congressional Representative to support the MORE Act by signing the petition today.

And Friend, we refuse to ignore the hundreds of thousands of people who are needlessly criminalized by this war on drugs, but we need you to fight alongside us. After you’ve signed the petition—which we’ll share with your Senators and Representative—please make a gift today to fuel our movement to end this disastrous war on drugs and build responsible policies based on helping people, not handcuffing them.

I urge you to sign the petition to Congress and support it with a contribution to help us create a more just and humane future for all.

With gratitude,

Ellen Flenniken,
Managing Director, Development
