Dr. Tyler Sexton is a highly talented pediatrician with an unrelenting passion for helping children through their challenges.
Thankfully, there are a lot of physicians who fit that description – and your children may very well call one of them their personal doctor. But I suspect few have met anyone quite like my friend Tyler.
Born prematurely and not expected to survive, Tyler Sexton was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 18 months of age.
Throughout the course of his young life, he endured 16 surgeries and countless setbacks. He longed to be just like the other kids – but he never was – and never would be.
“They said that if I did survive, I’d be blind and physically disabled,” he once wrote.
Yet, Tyler surpassed every expectation and grew determined to prove his detractors wrong.
