A re-elected Liberal government will help even more Canadians buy their first home.
Friend, it’s day two of the 2019 election campaign!
Liberal teams all across Canada have hit the ground running, and volunteers are already connecting with thousands of Canadians who want to Choose Forward on October 21.
And today, Justin Trudeau made an important announcement which will help ensure homeownership is an achievable dream for more Canadians.
Our Liberal team understands that buying a house is often the most important investment decision a family will make, but housing costs often put this dream out of reach for many Canadians. To help, our government created the First-Time Home Buyer Incentive – saving Canadians up to 10 percent off the purchase of their first home.
A re-elected Liberal government will help even more Canadians buy their first home by increasing the First-Time Home Buyer Incentive to help Canadians in higher-cost housing markets.
We will also put in place a consistent national speculation and vacancy tax for non-resident, non-Canadians – because Canada is no place for those who wish to purely speculate in the housing market.
Friend, the Conservatives voted against the First-Time Home Buyer Incentive and have no plan to help address the real concerns that Canadians have about being able to own their own home or access safe and affordable housing.
Instead, we can Choose Forward on October 21 – but we need your help to power strong Liberal campaigns across Canada on the road to Election Day.
With so much on the line, we need to hit each and every fundraising goal of this crucial election campaign – starting with raising $500,000 online for our September 15 mid-month goal.
Chip in now to support the 2019 Re-election Fund and help Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team earn another mandate in this important election.
