Georgia Senator David Perdue thought it would fire up the crowd of his rally with Donald Trump if he made fun of the name of a woman of color with immigrant parents.

So when attacking Kamala Harris, he said: "Kamala, or Kamala, Kamala-mala-mala, I don't know."

David Perdue is playing to the worst elements of our politics. He is implying that Senator Harris is less American because her name is unfamiliar. We need to condemn this disgraceful behavior, and show on November 3 that there are consequences for it.
