PFAW Member,
While our nation is in the throes of a global pandemic and just days before the most consequential election in our lifetimes, Senate Republicans are attempting to steal yet one more seat on the Supreme Court under President Trump.
It’s an outrageous and dangerous power grab that could set back progressive values for YEARS to come!
It’s why I’m standing with PFAW in the fight against this nomination and to hold the Republican senators accountable who vote to confirm this extreme nominee to the Supreme Court.
For decades, PFAW has led the fight to protect our courts, but Mitch McConnell and his Senate minions have marched in lockstep during the Trump administration – confirming more than TWO HUNDRED federal judges in the past three and a half years.
It’s an unconscionable attack on so many of the rights and freedoms progressives value: reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ equality, the right to vote, the ability to access basic health care, the right of workers to organize and earn a living wage, environmental protections, and SO much more.
Each of these rights have come under direct attack by Republicans, and this recent Supreme Court nominee is particularly troubling. Throughout her confirmation hearings Amy Coney Barrett REFUSED to acknowledge the underlying constitutionality of all these rights.
Every Republican senator that votes to confirm this dangerous nominee must be held accountable.
In all my life I’ve never felt that Roe v. Wade and countless other rights were as threatened as they are now.
