In an attempt to motivate his base, Donald Trump has attacked Dr. Anthony Fauci -- calling him a disaster and an idiot on a campaign conference call.

This comes after over 220,000 Americans have lost their lives and eight million more have been infected. It's just the latest example of how Donald Trump has failed our nation with his COVID response and continues to endanger the lives of millions of people. Attacking a trusted public health figure is the last thing a president should be doing right now.

But Donald Trump has no problem ignoring facts and tearing down public officials to advance his political prospects, and his behavior has been enabled by Republicans like John Katko who've endorsed him.

Our district deserves a representative who will defend science, not turn a blind eye to Donald Trump’s reckless and dangerous attacks against our safety. The facts are clear: it's time to replace John Katko with Dana Balter.

Trump said on Monday of Dr. Fauci: “People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots, all these idiots who got it wrong.”

What people are tired of is having a president who refuses to accept science. He has misguided our nation from the very beginning -- but even still, John Katko endorsed him and continues to stand by that endorsement.
