Last week federal campaigns filed their quarterly reports with the Federal Election
Commis[[link removed]] sion. These reports show how much money a candidate raised, how they spent their funds, and -most
importantly!- who is funding their campaign!
My opponent, a Trump-supporting Republican Congressman, accepted $332,300 from corporations and interest groups trying to buy influence in Congress in this election cycle alone.
Here are just a few of the corporate and right-wing organizations backing my opponent:
Defense contractors
International lawfirms AND corporations
Coal and fracking companies
The NRA
Koch industries
Anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ groups
In fact, Doug Lamborn has accepted more than $60,000 from Koch Industries alone.
Our campaign has refused corporate contributions; we are powered by the people, not executives and lobbyists.
Here is my challenge to our supporters: will 100 donors chip in $50 each to match what Koch kicked-in to my opponent with one check [[link removed]] ?
2020 MUST be the year that we return the power to the PEOPLE and end the influence of corporations and extremist groups with lots of money.
