Dear Friend,

Because of the pandemic, Councilmember offices inside the Wilson Building have been closed physically to the public. While we’ve successfully transitioned to remote work and we have been helping many residents online and over the phone, some conversations are better in person. I want to gauge interest in whether constituents want a COVID-safe in-person option. That's why I’m holding a special outdoor office hours tomorrow – Thursday, October 22 – from 2pm to 4pm. Look for our red tent right outside of the Wilson Building at 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Weather should be nice! I’ll be available to answer questions, troubleshoot unemployment insurance claims, or help address any other issues people might have. I’ll also be giving away (individually wrapped) spooky treats from a distance!

If you’re interested in attending, you MUST sign up in advance for a 15 minute slot by clicking here <[link removed]>.

To minimize the number of people in the area, I’m encouraging you to not arrive until your assigned time. Everyone will be required to wear a face mask at all times, and physical distancing practices will be enforced. I’m sure there are more people interested in attending than we have slots for, so if you want to come but the slots are full, please email me directly [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>. If there is interest, I will likely be doing more of these outdoor office hours in the near future!

Take care and wear your masks.

Elissa
