TEXAS TRIBUNE: "THE FATE OF THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE IN TEXAS COULD BE TIED
TO DOZENS OF LEGISLATIVE AND CONGRESSIONAL RACES IN THE STATE'S SUBURBS"

Texas Senator John Cornyn sat idly by last week while Trump’s Supreme
Court nominee threatened the Affordable Care Act and refused to say
whether she considered MEDICARE constitutional. Now, he’s in a vulnerable
spot. His challenger, Democrat MJ Hegar is polling within single digits of
Cornyn, and early voter turnout in Texas is already breaking records.

Trump and the GOP can’t win without Texas. And, this year, progressives
have a real chance of flipping the state, but only if we keep the momentum
going through November 3.

[ [link removed] ]Early voting has already started in the state and we’re running out of
time to reach every voter. RUSH $5, or whatever you can afford, to get out
the vote and turn Texas blue.

[ [link removed] ]Donating NOW to progressives in Texas will do triple-duty. Here’s how:

 1. We’re focused on U.S. House races where our money will go far and
elect bold progressives. House candidates Candace Valenzuela (TX-24),
Mike Siegel (TX-10), and Julie Oliver (TX-25) are running in winnable
races and can narrowly focus their efforts to reach every last
Democratic voter. Valenzuela’s district, in particular, is one of the
most flippable red-to-blue districts in the country. Our goal is to
fill the House with leaders who will protect the Affordable Care Act,
push for a Green New Deal, and advance a progressive agenda.
 2. Investing in House campaigns leads to Democratic victories up and down
the ballot. The voters our House candidates turn out are extremely
likely to also vote for Joe Biden and MJ Hegar. More fired-up Texas
voters will help DEFEAT Cornyn and flip the Senate.
 3. When voter turnout is high, Democrats win. Trump can’t win in 2020
without Texas, and if we invest now, we can build progressive power in
the state that will have an impact for the next decade.
