Dear John,
Watching the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation process steamroll forward, it feels easy to edge into despair. It seems almost unbelievable that Senator Mitch McConnell and Senate leaders are willing to rush through a vote on a Supreme Court nominee while blatantly ignoring the suffering of their constituents mere weeks before an election.
But they are, so here we are: bringing as much pressure as we can to bear on the Senate to stop this vote. Calling again and again for real relief for the millions of families struggling with the impacts of COVID-19. Getting ready to defend the Affordable Care Act and Roe v. Wade in the weeks and months to come.
So much about the future is uncertain. So much still could change. But one thing I know in my bones: No matter what happens, together we will never, ever stop fighting for the future we want to see. That gives me hope, John. If you can, pitch in an emergency gift right now to help us be ready for whatever comes next. [[link removed]]

Every day, the stakes grow higher and higher.
Women, especially women of color, are bearing the brunt of a pandemic with no end in sight—over-represented in front-line jobs, struggling to find child care and juggle remote school, leaving the workforce in disproportionate numbers as businesses close or caretaking responsibilities become too great. The Affordable Care Act, which has expanded access to health care for millions, is on the chopping block if Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed. So is abortion access, protections for LGBTQ people, and so much more that we hold dear.
There’s so much that needs to be done to ensure women, people of color, and our most communities can live the safe, full, healthy lives they deserve. We’re going to fight like hell to stop an Amy Coney Barrett court from rolling back the progress we’ve made. We’re laying the groundwork for the fights to come—join in with an emergency donation right now. [[link removed]]
