Amidst the turbulence and anxiety of the past few months, we’ve made sure to find moments that make us smile and give us hope. So many of these smiles have come from you, our amazing supporters, and the many ways you’ve shared your commitment to the performing arts and entertainment community at a time when it is needed the most.

Staying safe at home this Halloween season? Join us online for Halloween is NOT Cancelled, a costume contest hosted by Freestyle Love Supreme co-creator Anthony Veneziale with a special appearance by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark! Post your costume entry (or your pet’s spookiest look!) on Instagram by October 25 with the hashtag #NotCancelledCostumeContest or #NotCancelledCostumeContestPet and tag @TheActorsFund. You’ll have the chance to win special treats from the Prize Cauldron and to appear on the live stream event!

You can also donate ahead of time for these fun perks:

• Donate $1 or more to vote for your favorite costume
• Donate $250 or more to get a shout-out from our host during the show
• Donate $500 or more to be included in the end-of-show freestyle, performed by Anthony Veneziale

Then the October 28 event will include appearances by American Idol’s Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, Tony Award-winning costume designer Linda Cho (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder) MAKE UP FOR EVER’s make-up artist and educator Eddie Duyos, and Nate Russo of Nate Bakes Broadway.

Don’t miss the one-night-only virtual Halloween benefit concert presentation of the songs from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas! Presented by Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart in cooperation with Tim Burton, Danny Elfman and Disney Music Group, the event will support the work of The Actors Fund and the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Tickets to watch the concert online are $4.99.

Joining Iglehart in performing the songs from the film are vocalists Rafael Casal (Blindspotting, Bad Education), Adrienne Warren (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Shuffle Along), Danny Burstein (Moulin Rouge!, Fiddler on the Roof), Nik Walker (Ain’t Too Proud, Hamilton), Lesli Margherita (Dames at Sea, Matilda), Rob McClure (Mrs. Doubtfire, Beetlejuice) and more!

PLAYBILL Virtual Theatre Festival is the first nationwide, live-online theater festival for fully-produced shows. The inaugural fall 2020 festival will feature a dozen original 10-minute plays and musicals, performed live as you’re watching! Six shows will be presented each evening on Friday and Saturday, and the awards ceremony will be on Sunday.
