Team,

Here in Texas, we know that it doesn't mean crap if you say one thing in private and say something else in public -- but Sen. Cornyn is playing Washington games by trying to pull a fast one on us. Don't let him get away with it.

He's trying to convince Texans that he "privately" opposed spending money from the defense budget on a useless border wall. Well, the truth is that Sen. Cornyn VOTED in FAVOR of paying for that border wall by stripping money away from the military! So much for "private" opposition.

He's seen the polls that show us neck-and-neck, and now he's running for cover. Let's call this what it is: a blatant election year stunt. And we're not buying it.

He's gotten so embedded into Washington politics that he's forgotten his Texas values, y'all. We need a senator who'll do what they say and say what they do, and that's MJ.

And folks, it gets worse. He tried to explain away his cowardice with a big dose of sexism:

Y'all, Texas women are tough. Pitch in to help us elect a badass Texas woman who'll stand up for what she knows is right.

Let's show Sen. Cornyn that this isn't a political game, and Texans know you can't have it both ways.

It's clear we need a real leader for Texas and a Senate that prioritizes our health care. More than ever, we're relying on online fundraising to keep building the campaign we need to win in November, and we greatly appreciate your continued support >> [link removed]

However, we know this is not an easy time for many. If you'd like to pause receiving fundraising emails for the next few weeks, please let us know here ([link removed]). We'll still keep in touch with important information and to ask your thoughts from time to time.
