John,
Last night, lawyers working to track down parents separated from their children announced that the parents of more than 545 kids cannot be located.
Why? Because these parents were deported WITHOUT THEIR CHILDREN by the U.S. government back to the dangerous situations they fled.
This is absolutely unconscionable. We can’t just throw up our hands and say reuniting these families isn’t possible—it’s a matter of doing the right thing.
Here are 4 things you can do RIGHT NOW to help:
This latest news confirms what we’ve known for years: That family separation never ended. These 545 kids were ripped from their parents’ arms as part of a 2017 “pilot program” where over 1,000 families were separated to test out the cruelty that would outrage our nation a year later.
Let that sink in for a moment. These kids have been separated from their parents for three years now. That means they’ve spent over 1,000 nights sleeping alone, going to bed not knowing where their parents are or if they’ll ever see them again.
But we are undeterred: We will not rest until every child is reunited. We’re mobilizing quickly
Sign here now to demand an end to family separations and the reunification of all families.
Thanks for stepping up,
Paola Luisi
