***Governor Parson to Hold Press Conference on Outcome of Special Session, Sales Tax Allowances for Motor Vehicles***
*(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) *Friday, September 13, 2019, Governor Mike Parson will hold a press conference on the outcome of this weeks special session.
Governor Parson announced the special session in August, which has focused on amending a state statute to allow the sales proceeds of more than one vehicle to be used as a credit against the sales tax owed on the purchase of a new vehicle.
In "Kehlenbrink v. Director of Revenue" (SC 97287), the Missouri Supreme Court ruled that the sales proceeds of only one vehicle, trailer, boat, or outboard motor may be used as a credit against the sales tax owed on the purchase of another.
David and Jill Kehlenbrink and their son, Scott Kehlenbrink, will be present at the press conference.
