We're all still reeling from the loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, a trailblazer for justice and equal rights. Instead of focusing on a desperately needed second COVID relief bill and stimulus package, Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans are rushing to jam through another Supreme Court nomination.

I agree with what Mitch McConnell stated in 2016 when he and the Senate Republicans refused to consider President Obama's Supreme Court nominee 237 days before the election.

"The nomination should be made by the President the people elect in the election that's underway right now."
- Mitch McConnell in 2016

But this year, the GOP is forcing through a nominee to fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's seat with just a few days to go until Election Day. Sign my petition to demand the Senate wait to fill this vacancy until the new President is elected by the American people.

Every voter should have a voice in the selection of our next Supreme Court Justice. Voting rights, access to affordable health care with pre-existing conditions coverage, LBGTQ+ rights, women's reproductive freedoms and so much more are on the ballot this year.

Make sure your voice is heard.
Jim
