Rev. Raphael Warnock is the pastor at Martin Luther King Jr.'s church in Atlanta and a civil rights leader.
He represents the best of us at a moment that we could desperately use a civil rights hero in the Senate.
Plus the contrast with his opponents could not be more clear. The two leading Republicans in the race are trying to run to the right as much as possible -- competing to prove which of them is closer to Trump on every issue.
Kelly Loeffler, the presumed Republican front runner, even hosted an event to celebrate receiving an endorsement from a congressional candidate who has promoted baseless QAnon conspiracy theories and has a long record of racist comments.
Raphael Warnock is running a campaign that can appeal to all Georgians and unite the state. But we've gotta make sure he can compete with the Republicans' resources. Kelly Loeffler has also already dumped $20 million from her personal fortune into the race, and it was just reported that her husband gave $5 million to a super PAC that's supporting her candidacy.
During my first Senate race in 2012, I had to run against a self-funding millionaire too. So I know that it takes A LOT of grassroots donations to compete with that kind of cash. That's where you come in.
Please split a $3 donation between Raphael Warnock's campaign and my efforts to flip the Senate. With Biden tied in the state and this race getting moved to a toss up, there's never been a more important time to push resources into Georgia.
