The 2020 Democratic candidates said a lot of extreme things last week, but
what Bernie Sanders said made my jaw hit the floor. 


A Democratic voter asked Bernie Sanders what we should to do curb population
growth. 


His response shook me to my core. 

 

Bernie argued that we needed to fund abortions in “poor countries” in order to
control the world’s population.In other words, kill the poor kids to save the
planet. 


Any plan to save the planet that can be summarized as “Kill Poor Kids” is
monstrous.

This is comic-book villain stuff that’s based on a combination of debunked
population theories and nasty eugenics. This would be laughably stupid except
Bernie really believes it.


Bernie’s response sounds more like a supervillain than a member of the United
States Senate. Yet he received applause for this suggestion at the debate!


These are the stakes in 2020.  Will we be a country that protects the lives of
the most vulnerable among us? Or will we applaud as our political leaders tell
us that some lives just aren’t worth living? This is why Republicans need to
hold the Senate.

loved. The love we see every day in the eyes of moms and dads for their newborn
