Just a quick check-in––did you see this email?

Special Olympics programs are working hard to make sure athletes in your local community stay safe and healthy as we return to the field. You can help provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep athletes and coaches safe and support inclusive health and fitness programs all year long.

Give to support PPE
Give to support Inclusive Health
Give to support fitness programs

Can you take a moment to show athletes they are not forgotten? Together we can make sure athletes are staying fit and healthy.

Thanks for your help!

Here’s the heartbreaking truth about what athletes are up against: people with intellectual disabilities (ID) are at a higher risk for underlying conditions that make them more vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19.

We know that’s not a happy start to an email, but there is good news: you can help provide personal protective equipment (PPE) –– like masks, sanitizer, and gloves –– to Special Olympics athletes and coaches by making a gift to Special Olympics right now.

Help ensure athletes have the PPE they need!

As the largest healthcare organization for people with ID, Special Olympics is 100% committed to ensuring athletes can access the same health programs and services available to people who do not have ID. Right now, that means making sure PPE and other resources are readily available to keep athletes healthy and safe throughout this pandemic.

We can’t reach every athlete in need without your support. Will you make a donation today to help athletes stay healthy and safe this year and beyond?

Help fund PPE for athletes

Here are a few powerful things your gift can accomplish:

  • Provide masks, hand sanitizer, gloves, thermometers, and other physical distancing tools for athletic events and athletes who are at greater risk for COVID-19
  • Strengthen our Inclusive Health programs, which help athletes access life-saving screenings and other health services
  • Support Special Olympics virtual fitness and health programming, like School of Strength, which focuses on helping athletes and their families stay fit and have fun safely at home

We must protect and help provide care for athletes and people with ID who are especially vulnerable to COVID-19. We must show them they are not forgotten.
