My race to flip Illinois’ 13th Congressional District blue and expand Democrats’ critical House majority is shaping up to be one of the closest in the country. In fact, recent polls show me and my GOP opponent tied within the margin of error!

That's why right-wing special interest groups are dumping MILLIONS of dollars into this race to make sure I lose. But Chrissy knows how important it is to elect more women to the halls of Congress who will be fierce voices on the issues that matter most – like expanding access to health care. So in this final sprint to Election Day, Chrissy suggested I reach out to you for help.

My Republican opponent, Rep. Rodney Davis, won by nearly 20 points in 2016, so no one thought I had a chance at defeating him in 2018 – but I came within three-quarters of a point of flipping this seat. Now, our chances this year are better than they were when we almost won two years ago: the polls show us neck and neck, AND President Obama has endorsed my campaign!

But the GOP is desperate to keep this seat red, and right-wing groups are airing vicious attack ads against me. But I can't close this fundraising gap and fight back to flip this crucial seat without you:
