If you're following the news around the country, you'll know that this has been a big week for Democrats. With Congress back in session, we're ready to make progress on the issues that matter to Americans -- no matter what Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell say.

And on top of all that, tonight in Houston, Democratic presidential candidates will debate again, with millions of people across the country watching.

I'm excited for what we can accomplish together in the upcoming months. But I know that for every step we take forward, we face a president, administration, and Senate majority that's going to push back -- hard.
